Elton Tewaguna Nampeyo (1953-), Hopi/Tewa, Corn Clan, active 1970-present Elton is the Great-grandson of Nampeyo; grandson of Fannie Polacca Nampeyo; son of Richard and Elva Tewaguna Nampeyo; bother of Adelle Lalo Nampeyo, Miriam Tewaguna Nampeyo and Neva Polacca Choyou Nampeyo. This beautiful Sikyatki style pottery shaped seed jar is decorated with Hopi Abstract Eagle in movement design elements. This is a very rare design not the typical and famous migration this is more like antique looking, like old hopi abstract elements.It has a beautiful beige antique looking slip polished background with reddish orange and brown painted design. These designs are reminiscent of ancestral Hopi pottery. The color palette is earth toned featuring shades of red, brown and orange. These colors evoke the Arizona desert landscape.

Measures: 7" x 4" approximately - Opening 1.5"

Hallmark: Signed Elton Nampeyo with a Cornstalk

Condition: Excellent Vintage Condition. No cracks, chips or repairs. Intended antique looking not really wear just the design.
