Torc argenté avec 2024 corail

This torc fits a medium to large sized neck. The main parts, pendant andclasp, were the result of experimental casting, which cannot be replicated andtherefore it is one off unique piece. Experimental casting based on pouringmolten metal to various media such as Delft clay, cuttlefish orwater. Tomake this pendant I poured molten silver over piece of rough coralpropped in Delft clay, which later Iadjusted with ringlets that allowedme to hang on the torc. The remnant of coral was thoroughly polishedafter being heavily bleached in acid. The clasp was result of pouring metalintothe bucket with icy water, amongst many shard like pieces I pickedone which I made in to clasp. The piece looks remarkably fresh and stylish.
