Here for your consideration is an exquisite and rare, antique, Victorian, 1894, German silver, miniature jug, with ovoid tapering concertinaedbody, engraved floral/scroll decoration and rolled top edge by Berthold Muller & Son.

The base is fully hallmarked BM for Berthold Muller & Son with the lion passant, leopards head London assay office stamp and the date letter T in a shield cartouche for 1894. Its also stamped with German hallmarks and the letter F in a oval cartouche which indicates foreign manufacture.

First registered as silversmiths in 1892 and listed as animporter of German silver working from premises at Wardour Street, London. They specialised in bowls, boxes, cups, spoons and jugs.
