DESCRIPTION
A very scarce, privately published collection of speeches and papers by the Liberal politician.
Henry Meysey-Thompson sat in the House of Commons between 1880 and 1905, at which point he was raised to the peerage as Baron Knaresborough.
This collection of essays and speeches are arranged into sections devoted to the South African Affairs, Government of Ireland Bill, Land Tenure Bill, and Bimentalism.

With a pencil inscription to the verso of the title page.
Meysey-Thompson provides a preface to the rear of the work.
CONDITION
In a full morocco binding. A touch of rubbing to back strip head and tail, otherwise externally fine. Spotting to endpapers. Pencil inscription to verso of front free endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages exceptionally clean and bright.
