Hi! Up for auction is a beautiful Limoges French trinket box and lid. Measuring approximately 3.5 inches in diameter and about 1.5 inches in height (with the lid on), this piece is dark red and white with gold-tone stripes around the rim and the middle. A multi-colored image of a gorgeously-dressed courting couple in the French countryside is on the top of the lid with the signature ‘Fragonard'. The maker's marks appear on the bottom of trinket box and this item and its lid are in excellent condition without any chips or cracks. This pretty piece would make a lovely gift for a collector.
