Signed metal frame for a mirror, picture, or art work. This was hand crafted by JN Pierre Bernard (Jean Pierre Bernard). Based on the research I have done, he made one of a kind metal folk art pieces; each one being unique. I cannot find another example of this piece. The other pieces he created were made out of recycled steel drums and I would imagine this was similarly made. The other examples I have seen show raw metal; I believe this has since been painted. I would imagine the paint could be removed if desired. This is not perfect, there are paint drip marks and rust showing through the paint. Some of the paint has chipped off in spots. There is a break to a piece but its still connected by one side. The back may be missing a metal bracket where the picture would be held in place; there are three. I would imagine it would have been made with one bracket on each side. The frame could use some reshaping although this likely was not perfectly rounded when created..
