THE DIAL: 100% mint, thewhite enamel double sunk dial with black Arabic numerals and in bright condition with no chipsor hairlines. The dial with fine blue steel spade hands. Diameter is41 mm. The crystal is also in excellent condition and retained securely.
THE MOVEMENT: 100% mint, with agilded three quarter plate and a micro-star regulator, andsilver steel and blued screws. A cut two arm bimetallic balance, with Breguet hairspring and lever escapement. The movement overall of very good quality, with a cut-away plate and gold plated wheels. The watch ticking away on my desk as I type this, and keeping very good time for a 100 year old watch. The calibre 1908 watch with movement number 18,xxx,xxx , and 7 jewels. The movement signed on the top plate, "A.W,W.Co., Waltham Mass,".
THE CASE: 97% mint, the 14k gold filled case measures an impressive 50 mm. The front and rear covers both close nice and tightly . The case fully markedwith a case number of 414,xxx and marked, ALD, 20 years grade. Therear cover in fine condition, with a few fine scratches and small area of wear top case band. The watch comes with a new presentation box to store the watch when not in use.
This is a high quality case, a work of art in its own right in crisp condition and of jewel like quality. The pictures show minor reflections and various dark marks, these are an artefact from the lighting and are not present in the watch case. This is a very fine period14k goldfilled watch in simply stunning condition, which is a veryrare collectable item or a possible investment for the future or of course a fine gift for a birthday, anniversary, wedding etc.
